20th Century Screen
lux gallery, london - 1998

The sculptural form uses 256 electrochromic mirrors that work as pixels. The ‘low-res’ screen (16x16) is driven by engineered hardware that echoes its form in its function, with a minimalist approach to media using resources equivalent to the quality of desktop icons. The chemical transformation between frames takes around 30 seconds.

3.2m x 2m. 256 mirror elements, stands, engineered hardware.

Shown with works by other members of Soda - L.Kimbell and F.Warman with J.Saunderson
